In the continuation of the A to Z Challenge in my post today. C is for C-3PO.
He is the first letter that I am doing for the for the rebellion side. C-3PO was a different type of a droid. He was probably the last that anyone would guess that would be in the middle of the the rebellion. He with all the different languages out there in the galaxy. It is rumored that he was fluent in over 6 million forms of communication.
C-3PO was rather cowardly as shown when he flees in terror when attacked by Imperials on Hoth. C-3PO is rather polite and quirky and also sarcastic at times as well. He was also the most loyal to any master of his without question. It also seemed that he was always so scared.
Later in life, C3PO had uploaded information regarding child-rearing
into his memory banks and would meet the challenge with an initial
enthusiasm but mixed results to help Leia with her children.
Now can you imagine C3PO as your babysitter for you children?
Oh imagining C3PO with children is making me laugh! I watched Return of the Jedi last night and C3PO really is a big coward! He's so funny though, such an awesome character, and I love the way he talks to R2 D2 :)
ReplyDeleteReally now, did I get you into the Star Wars mood..lol. It would be quite entertaining to see 3PO watching kids especially Jedis.
DeleteMy brother calls me C3PO...I am a bit of a scaredy cat, and can worry quite a bit!
ReplyDeletereally now....not cool. Really you are a scarey cat I will keep that for later reference..tehee.
DeleteHey! Why didn't I think of this C! Great post - I would totally leave my little ones with him. Do you have any idea of his availability? Does he have a brother/cousin/friend who's free? Good luck A to Z-ing!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...I will have to find out that out for you. I am sure he has plenty of relatives..lol.
DeleteI can honestly say C3PO is one of my least favorite characters. I always thought he was an uptight prude. And so mean to R2! He does tell a good story, but otherwise I'm not sure I'd want him babysitting my kid.
ReplyDeleteHe is a great story teller...I was thinking that maybe he is the only one that knows what R2 is saying. He can be harsh and a little annoying on his buddy at times.
DeleteI love C-3PO! When I went to Star Wars: In Concert a few years ago, I had a major nerdgasm when I found out Anthony Daniels was the host. (I went with non-nerdy friends, so I couldn't attempt stalking afterward like I do with other celebrities when they come to town.) My Droid phone is actually named C-3PO, and I would definitely have him keep my daughter. Though I wonder what they would manage to destroy...
ReplyDeleteCOOLNESS!!!! I wish I would have been able to go to that show. It was 60 buck starting around here. I am hoping they do it again soon. Only fellow SW geek would name a phone C3PO..thumbs up.
DeleteI lucked out. I have a friend who works at the local radio station, so he had free tickets. I ended up with four, and it was a battle to find three people to go with me! I was floored! The girls who went with me complained nearly the entire time and made fun of me for my geekout. They tried to give me a hard time for spending so much money on my concert shirt, hoodie, lanyard, etc., but they're some of my most prized possessions. Plus, no one else has a hoodie in this area with a huge picture of Yoda on the back!
DeleteC-3PO wouldn't last long in my house. The poor "guy" would be sitting on the couch rusted, sparking, and sputtering when I came home.
ReplyDeleteHowever, it would be a trip to see it all happen. Great post!
I am not that sure if he would be able to last through my 2 year old daughter either. He would be stuttering up a storm. Thanks for the kind words.
Deletedefinitely not if he scares easy. My kids scare the crap out of me, and I like to think I'm pretty badAss
ReplyDelete~2
I am still not sure how much help he would be with twin Jedis. I guess Leia knew what she was doing....maybe she was just that desperate.
DeleteI'm imagining C-3PO covered in finger paint right about now...I think it would be hilarious.
ReplyDeleteLOL that would be a great sight to see. Thanks for the image.
DeleteThe children would love it, but his circuits are not robust enough to cope- although the sarcasm might help. I can't help liking C-3PO, because he is so loyal and yet so flawed.
ReplyDeleteAgreed..he might be to loyal at times for his own good.
DeleteFellow A-Zer. Love the Star Wars theme. C-3PO rules!
ReplyDeleteAlthough my kids are a bit old to require a babysitter, I think with all that ability in different forms of communication, he would make an astounding babysitter!
ReplyDeleteUmmm Star Wars theme... say hi to your new follower :D
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment :) This was a great post. I think my little brother would just pass out if he showed up as babysitter!
