Garden Around the Corner

I know that I should at least have the garden tilled up by now...but I am not  quite there yet.Hopefully in the next couple of day. Plus we increased the garden as well. Besides the 2 in the back yard we have an additional plot that on my grandparents land. I was where they had their old garden 10-15 years ago.

There is PLENTY of work to be done. With all this rain it sure is getting difficult to go out there. No more spring showers just yet.Still debating what veggies that we want to grow this season. I think that I may bite off too much than I can chew.😢

I think I can do this. Plus the wife gave me an extra incentive. She doesn't think I will be able to do the garden at my grandparents house. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!!

I may be a bit stubborn..LOL

Spring Is Here!!!

I just cannot believe that the season of spring is FINALLY here. After the PROLONGED winter that we(Wisconsin) has this year it was crazy.Damn you Polar Vortex or whatever you are called. It was pretty much from hunting season(October) to until last week of March that we had immense amounts of snow on the ground.

I took a lookie at flower bed today and YES we have rhubarb sproating up. My thoughts wre sweet. I canot wait for the sauces and the bars, etc that we make with the plants of of the good stuff that is sprouting in the backyard right now.

I guess my wife and I better get the seeds started...oh wait I think we better order the seeds as well. his season we are taking it easy with the little one that is about the be welcomed to the world any day now.

It is Officially Spring

It has been a joke of ours(my wife and I) that it is not officially spring until she gets her first sunburn of the year. So guess, what happened on Sunday(Mother's Day) of all days. We were working outside trying to get the garden ready and get some of the lawn decorations out for the 4-5 months that it is actually nice outside.

Speaking of the garden my wife and I are not the biggest fans of weeding . So we are thinking of teaching JTW how to weed. I think that we still a while until she knows the difference between a weed and bean sprout.

I guess that it looks like we will not be planting until Sunday or Monday at the earliest considering that it is suppose to rain here all week. JTW first garden planting will be continued.
